How to Install Minecraft Shaders Using Optifine 1.16.2

 

Here's how you can install any of the Minecraft Shaders for 1.16.2:

• Download and install Optifine 1.16.2.
• Click Preview Versions at the top of the page to open the 1.16.2 compliant Optifine versions. Don't be intimidated by the fact that they are pre-builds; they run just fine.
• Download any (or all!) of these best shaders packages.
• Ignore the version number of each individual shader pack, because shaders don't work that way. Even if the website does not say that the shader pack is 1.16.2 compliant, it will work fine.
• Place the downloaded zip files in the following folder: C:\Users\ [Your name] \AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\shaderpacks

And it's all! You can now go back to Minecraft (make sure you run Optifine 1.16.2 from the Minecraft launcher), and under Video Settings, you can click on Shaders to open the shader selection screen and settings for each package. Just like that.
